How does the Power Index work?

Play in events, build your rank, earn your invite to the TOC!

Overview
Ska’moog tournaments and leagues are all interconnected through our unique Power Index system.  We track each teams performance throughout the season and invite the top teams to compete in the Tournament of Champions. 

Timing of the Season
The season starts in January and runs through November.  The TOC is in November/Early December each year.

The Point System
- Team receive points for playing.  The more tournaments you play, the more points you earn, the higher your ranking.  
-Additional points are awarded based on performance, PF, PA, NET Points, and strength of schedule. 
*Note we reward teams for playing.  You do not receive negative pts for losing

Who Can Win?
The Top Teams earn Power Points through out the season via regular season and playoff wins (usually the top 25 teams at the end of the season have the best chance at the Gold and Silver Power Rings

When is the Winner Decided?
The #1 and #2 teams are settled at the last tournament before TOC- where top teams are specifically invited
- Typically October - November at MetLife or Turkey Bowl

What do you win for getting Top 1 or 2?
(ALL DIVISIONS are Scored Collectively)
- The Coveted ALL GOLD #1 Rings go to the top ranked team
- The Elusive SILVER #2 Rings go to the second ranked team
- #1 or #2 seed and choice of opponents* at TOC 
-Bragging rights as the BEST this SEASON!


*Prizes are subject to change

Format of TOC?
- Double Elimination - teams are seeded by Power Ranking.  Higher your rank, easier it is to win the TOC
